7  UPDATE - COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS

 

The Community Services and Housing Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Community Services and Housing Committee with the following action:

 

 

OTHER BUSINESS

1. Committee requested staff to prepare a report for consideration at the March, 2009 Committee meeting regarding any means and methods for utilizing the recently received Provincial funding to increase the Region's housing stock including the possibility of building, purchasing or entering into joint ventures to obtain housing stock for affordable and social housing. 

 

PRIVATE SESSION

 

The Committee resolved into private session at 2:50 p.m. to consider the following:

1. Private Attachment to Item D6, Commissioner of Community and Health Services, "Community Development and Investment Fund Strategy:  Request for Approval of Recommended 2009 One-Year Projects" - Security of Property of the Municipality.

 

2. Private Report of the Commissioner of Community and Health Services, "Newmarket Development Opportunity, Regionally Owned Site" – Security of Property of the Municipality.

The Committee resumed in public session at 3:02 p.m. with no report out.  Its recommendations on the above matters will be forwarded to Council for consideration at its December 18, 2008 Private Session.

 

 

The Community Services and Housing Committee adjourned at 3:03 p.m.
