1. Mark Malinowicz, Project Manager, Joseph and Wolf Lebovic Jewish Community Campus, October 29, 2008, regarding relief from development charges, Bathurst Street, Vaughan. Received and referred to the Commissioner of Finance for a report to the Committee if necessary.

 

2. Jonathan Rubin, Director of Planning & Development, Markham Kirkham Developments Inc., October 29, 2008, regarding relief from development charges for the project at the north-west corner of Markham Rd. (Hwy 48) & Kirkham Dr., Newtown Square Commercial Development, Markham. Received and referred to the Commissioner of Finance.

 

3. Memorandum from Lloyd Russell, Commissioner of Finance, November 6, 2008, regarding the Impact of Provincial Uploading Announcement (attached to this Report). Received. 

 

 

PRIVATE SESSION

 

The Committee resolved into private session at 11:37 a.m. to consider the following:

 

1. Private Report of the Commissioner of Finance and Regional Solicitor – Appeal of Development Charge Complaint by Nancy Tenaglia – Solicitor-Client

 

2. Private Report of the Commissioner of Finance and Regional Solicitor – Status of Harvest Hills Development Corporation and Minto Communities (Toronto) Inc. Development Charge Complaint Appeal – Solicitor-Client     

 

 

The Committee resumed in public session at 11:42 a.m. with no report out.  Its recommendations on these matters will be forwarded to Council for consideration in Private Session at its November 20, 2008 meeting.

 

 

The Finance and Administration Committee adjourned its meeting at 11:43 a.m.
