PRESENTATION

 

1. Paul May, Director of Infrastructure Planning, made a presentation regarding the Metrolinx Regional Transportation Plan.

 

Mr. May also advised Committee of the following awards which have been presented to York Region:

 

(a) for Excellence in Planning 2008 in Communication/Public Education from the Ontario Professional Planning Institute, for the Smart Commute Association;

 

(b) for Healthy Communities 2008 from the Ontario Professional Planning Institute and the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario for the Smart Commute Association; and

 

(c) for 2007 Sustainable Urban Transportation from the Transportation Association of Canada for the Pedestrian and Cycling Master Plan Study.
