Jeffrey A. Abrams, City Clerk, City of Vaughan, dated September 26, 2008, regarding 'Train Whistling Cessation'. Received. 2. Kimberley Kitteringham, Town Clerk, Town of Markham, dated October 17, 2008, regarding 'Highway 7 Transitway 4 to 6 Lanes Update'. Received. PRIVATE SESSION 3. Private Attachment to Item D14 Commissioner of Corporate Services Expropriation Settlement, 4. Private Report of the Commissioner of Transportation Services and Commissioner of Planning and Development Services – The Committee received the above private items. Private Report No. 4 was referred for consideration to the November 20, 2008 Council Private Session. OTHER BUSINESS 5. The Committee requested that the Commissioner of Finance prepare a further water rate increase scenario which falls between the 2009 rate increase as proposed in 2008 and the 12.7% increase currently proposed, and provide comparative water rates both nationally and internationally, for the consideration of the Finance and Administration Committee at their December 4, 2008 meeting. (Refer to Clause No. 2 – 2009 Water and Wastewater Rate Supported Budget). 6. Mayor Jackson requested that Transportation Services staff investigate and report back to Committee on opportunities to assist emergency vehicles by improving the timing of lights on east/west Regional roads.
