The Finance and Administration Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Finance and Administration Committee with the following action:

 

 

ELECTION OF CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR

 

1. The Finance and Administration Committee elected Mayor Van Bynen as Chair and Mayor Barrow as Vice-Chair of the Committee for the year 2009.

COMMUNICATION

 

2. Gayle Wood, Chief Administrative Officer, the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority, November 20, 2008, forwarding a resolution adopted by the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority at its meeting on November 14, 2008, regarding the Oak Ridges Moraine Foundation – Funding Support. Received and endorsed.

 

 

PRIVATE SESSION

 

The Committee resolved into private session at 1:55 p.m. to consider the following:

 

3. Private Attachment to Report 7 of the Commissioner of Environmental Services and the Regional Solicitor -  Communications Installations on Regional Property Policy Update - Security of Municipal Property.

 

4. Private Presentation - Development Charges Appeals – Solicitor-Client

 

The Committee resumed in public session at 1:59 p.m. with no report out.  Its recommendation on the above matter will be forwarded to Council for consideration at its January 22, 2009 Private Session.

 

 

The Finance and Administration Committee adjourned its meeting at 2:00 p.m.
