Mayor Emmerson was elected Chair and Regional Councillor Frustaglio was elected Vice Chair of the Transportation Services Committee for the remainder of the term of Council 2009-10. Regional Chair Fisch informed the Committee that today is Don Gordon's last meeting prior to his retirement. Don will be recognized at the September 24, 2009 Regional Council meeting. 12. The Committee requested an update on the status of Highway 9/Davis Drive West. Staff informed Committee that the traffic light is currently being installed at the intersection of 13. Staff confirmed that they will report back to Committee in early 2010 on the Coordinated Transit Street Furniture Program. 14. The Committee discussed a request from Markham Fair for reduced rates for buses. Regional Chair Fisch will raise the possibility of funding this through an economic development grant at the Planning and Economic Development Committee meeting this afternoon. PRIVATE SESSION The Committee resolved into private session at 10:49 a.m. to consider a personal matter about an identifiable individual.
