OTHER BUSINESS 15. The Commissioner of Community and Health Services introduced and welcomed York Region's new Associate Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Lillian Yuan. 16. Discussion of the development of a national childcare strategy. The Committee recommended that staff be requested to prepare a resolution for Council's consideration, requesting the Federal Government to bring forward a national childcare strategy. PRIVATE ITEM The Committee resolved into private session at 4:00 p.m. to consider the following: 1. Private Verbal Update by Regional Senior Counsel - The Committee resumed in public session at 4:13 p.m. with no report out.
