The Finance and Administration Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Finance and Administration Committee with the following action.

 

 

ELECTION OF CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR

 

1. The Finance and Administration Committee elected Mayor Barrow as Chair and Mayor Van Bynen as Vice-Chair for the year 2012.

2. C. Anne Greentree, Deputy Clerk, Municipality of Clarington, December 20, 2011, seeking endorsement of a resolution regarding special Provincial funding to cover municipal deficits.  Endorsed.

 

3. Carolyn Lance, Administrative Assistant to Town Clerk, Town of Georgina, December 9, 2011, regarding the Draft Development Charges Background Study and Bylaw. Received and referred to staff.

 

 

10  PRIVATE SESSION

           

The Committee resolved into Private Session to consider a private update pertaining to the Transit Strike -- Solicitor-Client. The Committee met in Private Session from 11:35 a.m. to 12:14 p.m. and received the private update.

 

 

The Finance and Administration Committee adjourned its meeting at 12:15 p.m.
