Chlorine levels in Schomberg water supply

On July 25th, the Regional Municipality of York initiated a change in the chlorination of the
Schomberg Water Supply. As part of this process the entire system was flushed out with higher than normal levels of chlorinated water.

The Schomberg water supply remains safe to drink, however, temporarily, there may be noticeable changes in the taste and smell of the water, following the changeover.

The Region is currently working on adjusting chlorine levels in the water supply, and anticipates that the taste and smell will return to normal over the next few months.

The Region appreciates the patience and understanding of Schomberg residents as these necessary steps are being taken.
