Seniors Dental Program
York Region, in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Health, provides dental services through the Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program (OSDCP) for eligible Ontario residents. Our Seniors Dental Clinics operate at five locations across York Region and are available by appointment for clients enrolled in the program.
The OSDCP covers services such as:
- Oral hygiene instruction (brushing, flossing, denture care)
- Nutrition counselling related to oral health
- Fluoride varnish application
- Examinations
- Preventive services
- Restorative services (e.g., fillings) to repair broken teeth and cavities
- Radiographs or x-rays

Eligibility
You can apply for the OSDCP if you:
- are 65 years of age or older
- are a resident of Ontario
- meet the income requirements:
- an annual net income of $25,000 or less for a single senior
- a combined annual net income of $41,500 or less for a couple
- have no other form of dental benefits, apart from the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), including private insurance or dental coverage under another government program such as Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program or Non-Insured Health Benefits
After Enrollment
Once enrolled, eligible seniors will be connected with a member of our Seniors Dental Team to schedule a New Patient Exam and access comprehensive dental services.
This differs from the Canadian dental program (CDCP) which clients can also be enrolled in at the same time as the Ontario one. CDCP and OSDCP have different eligibilities costs.
