• York Region has developed an Accessible Customer Service Policy to govern how we offer goods and services to people with disabilities.
   
• All contractors who provide direct service to the public on York Region's behalf receive Accessible Customer Service Training to best serve our customers with disabilities.
   
• Accessibility Planning in York Region continues to break down barriers for people with disabilities by identifying, removing and preventing barriers to accessibility.
   
• York Region is implementing the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) which aims to have a fully accessible Ontario by 2025.
