A public forum on Bill 118, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2004 (AODA), was hosted on Saturday, January 22, 2005 by the York Region Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC). The keynote speaker, David Lepofsky, shared his knowledge about this bill with nearly 50 people.

David Lepofsky was the Chair of the provincial Ontarians with Disabilities Act Committee and one of the leading architects of both the existing ODA and proposed AODA. He briefly outlined the history of Ontario's accessibility legislation, brainstormed ideas for amendments to this bill and suggested ways to make an effective oral and/or written submission on Bill 118 to the Legislature's Standing Committee on Social Policy.
