Bathurst Street Traffic Noise - Bloomington Road to St. John's Sideroad Project No. 8061 Contract No. 10-105 Project Description: This project involves the construction of a wooden traffic noise barrier on the east side of Bathurst Street. Completion Date: October 2012 Highway 50 - Hwy. 7 to Ebenezer Road Project No. 8181 Contract No. 2011-001T Project Description: This section of road will be reconstructed and widened to 6 lanes by Peel Region. York Region is cost sharing the work on this boundary road. Completion Date: December 2012 Keele Street - Intersection Improvements at McNaughton Road Project No. 8694 Contract No. T-10-89 Project Description: Intersection Improvements to meet local growth, reduce traffic congestion, and improve operational efficiency, safety, traffic signals at Masters, MCC entrance modifications, new parking lay-bys and median. Completion Date: August 2012 Stouffville Road - Hwy. 404 to McCowan Road Project No.'s 9712, 8570, 8569 Contract No. 10-103 Project Description: This project involves the road reconstruction of Stouffville Road from a 2 lane road to a 4 lane road. The work will include new pavement, curbs, new trees, storm sewers, culverts, retaining walls, improved ditches, wider shoulders, traffic islands, traffic signals and street lighting along the road and at intersections.
