Notice to Applicants

To applicants for approval as manufacturers/suppliers:

Parties applying to become approved for supplying to York Region (YR) shall reference an individual standard document as approval will be given to products rather than suppliers. If they want to apply to multiple products, they need to apply separately for each applicable document.
We are asking that all such applications, including ones made after October 1, 2008 by any other method, be (re)introduced as follows:
1. Specification/Standard/Guideline number and name
2. Section/item# of the document above
3. Legal name of the manufacturer's firm and supplier's name, if applicable
4. Name and characteristics of the product or URL of the product Web page
5. Declaration about the submitted product including:
  1. Its conformity to the provisions of the YR document and
  2. List of deviations referenced to YR document's sections/items, if applicable, and
  3. Status of its use in YR or in the Province of Ontario indicating locations and contact names, if applicable, and
  4. Detailed reasons why the product should be approved for YR use.
6. Attachment of reference letters from at least two Consulting firms doing business with York Region supporting the declaration above and recommending that York Region accepts the subject manufacture/supply.
Any clauses of YR standards' related procedures which are contrary to the above are suspended until further notice.
