A Go-Bag is intended to be taken with you in case you are evacuated or have to leave the house quickly for a period of time. Each member of your household should have one, including one for your pet (Pet Go-Bag). Store your Go-Bags near the front door or another exit on your main floor. The items in your Go-Bags are accessible should you be required to shelter-in-place, so duplication is not necessary. Go-Bags should be in easy-to-carry containers like backpacks. They should contain:

·         A first aid kit

·         Identification

·         Photos of each family member

·        Utility knife

·         Spare eye glasses/contacts

·         Prescription drugs (check expiry dates), or the written prescriptions

·         Toilet paper/personal care items

·         Baby supplies/diapers

·         Blanket/sleeping bag

·         Clothing/footwear

·         Deck of cards/games/small toys

·         Map of the community

·         Spare car/house keys

·         Cash (small bills/quarters)
