Breast Awareness

Breast awareness refers to being familiar with your own breasts and recognizing if there are any changes. To know what is normal for you, it is necessary that you look at and feel your breasts regularly. Although it was once thought this examination should occur at the same time each month, research now indicates that there really is no right or wrong way as long as you get to know what is normal for you. If you notice changes to your breasts, see your health care provider right away*.
