Breast Cancer

Signs and Symptoms

It is important to know how your breasts normally look and feel so that you are aware of any new or unusual changes. A woman's breasts may feel different at different times of her menstrual cycle. Breast tissue may also change with age. If you see or feel any changes that are unusual for you, go and have it checked out by your health care professional as soon as possible. Here are some signs and symptoms of breast cancer to watch for:

  • Lump
  • Dimpling
  • Pulled in nipple
  • Dripping or discharge without stimulation and if you are not lactating
  • Redness or rash
  • Skin changes

Most lumps are not cancer. The only way to determine if a lump or other change is cancer is to have your health care professional check it out.
