About Us

The purpose of the York Region Community and Health Services Department, Early Detection of Cancer program is to increase awareness of breast, cervical and colorectal cancers and to promote early detection through regular screening and prevention and healthy lifestyle choices. By working with workplaces, community groups and health professionals we aim to identify gaps and barriers to screening, develop and implement strategies to reduce these barriers and increase participation in cancer screening programs.

We can assist you by providing a consultation to identify the needs of your workplace or community group and discuss the services that will best meet your requirements.
