How are Workplace Cafeterias Nominated for an Eat Smart! Award?

Cafeterias with excellent food safety records are nominated by York Region Public Health Inspectors on an annual basis. 

Cafeteria owners and employees, as well as members of the public may also nominate a cafeteria of their choice. 

You may submit a nomination online at www.eatsmartontario.ca/become or by calling York Region Health Connection telephone line.

How are Eat Smart! Winners Selected?

A team of York Region public health professionals review all workplace cafeterias that are nominated for an Eat Smart! award to ensure they meet the Eat Smart! criteria.  Those the meet the criteria are informed by York Region staff.
