Programs and Services Offered - ABC ProgramsABC - All Babies Count: Prenatal Nutrition ProgramsWhat are the ABC Programs All About? Moms-to-be learn about: healthy eating in pregnancy, menu planning on a budget, infant feeding, making baby food, labour and delivery and infant care. ABC program staff will also link women to many other services in York Region. The ABC programs are free. A nutritious snack is prepared each week and shared by participants. Transportation and child minding can be arranged if required. Who are the ABC Programs For? The ABC Programs serve pregnant women living in York Region. Women are only accepted into the programs while pregnant and may remain in the program up to 6 months postpartum. The ABC programs are intended for women living with: limited access to health and social services, women living in social or geographic isolation, recent immigrants, teens, women living in poverty, women who use alcohol, tobacco or other substances, and women living in violent situations. Where Can I Find an ABC Program and How do I Register? All new participants must call the Site Coordinator to register for the program they would like to attend. Programs run weekly on the following days and times. If you are not sure which location is right for you, call 1-877-516-3715 to speak to someone about the ABC program.
