Canada's Food Guide: Eating Well with Canada's Food Guide is based on credible, sound scientific evidence from Health Canada. The Guide outlines how much we should eat from each food group on a daily basis. Guide to Nutrition Promotion in the Workplace: A guidebook developed by the Nutrition Resource Centre outlining the steps to take to promote nutrition in the workplace. Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety: This website provides information on the benefits of healthy eating in the workplace as well as tips and resources on making changes to the nutrition environment. National Quality Institute: A non-profit organization providing support and resources for all types of workplaces — large and small; private and public. Heart and Stroke Foundation: Provides reliable information on heart disease, stroke, healthy living strategies and disease prevention. Workplaces can distribute and share this information with employees. Canadian Cancer Society: Provides web-based information and resources to share with employees on the topics of cancer screening, prevention and treatment. Canadian Diabetes Association: Provides up-to-date information and resources on the topics of diabetes prevention and treatment to share with employees. If you are interested in the Nutrition Works program, please complete the Nutrition Works Screening Tool to learn what action steps are needed for a successful nutrition program and determine your workplace's eligibility for the program. Workplaces are eligible for the Nutrition Works program if they commit to undertaking activities to create a supportive workplace environment.
