| Physical ActivityEnsuring that students are physically active is a shared responsibility. A strong partnership between the home, school and community is essential to providing opportunities for all students to learn about and benefit from being physically active. The school setting is an environment that all children and youth in the community share. Schools provide an opportunity to develop an understanding of the importance of physical activity through a commitment to daily vigorous physical activity. Students can learn about positive health behaviour as well as basic skill movements required to participate in physical activity throughout their lives.
