Being physically active can help children feel better about themselves, be healthier, make more friends and even do better at school.
Approximately 88 per cent of Canadian children and youth are not meeting Health Canada's guidelines of getting 90 minutes per day of moderate to vigorous physical activity (Active Healthy Kids Canada, 2010).
