Childhood Immunization
Children will receive many vaccinations from the time they are about two months old up until they finish high school, to protect them from diseases.
Your Child's Immunization
- A Parent's Guide to Immunization and Communicable Diseases – This pamphlet (in PDF format) includes the most recent immunization schedule, and information about common childhood diseases.
- Your Child's Immunization Record – This is an important document that should be kept up to date for your child to attend school. Click here to find forms you may need or to learn about the Immunization of School Pupils Act, and when exemptions are permitted.
- School Immunization Clinics – Find out about the Hepatitis B and Meningitis vaccines offered to Grade 7 students, and HPV immunization for Grade 8 girls
- Community Immunization Clinics for Students – Regular community clinics are held throughout York Region where your child/teen can receive any overdue routine immunizations
