Water is a natural resource that needs to be protected and preserved. Safe water is essential to human health. Ensuring safe recreational and drinking water is a mandate of the Safe Water Program of York Region Community and Health Services Department.
YorkSafe is The Regional Municipality of York's enhanced inspection reporting program. Inspection reports can be accessed:
Inspection reports for swimming pools and whirlpools:
Beginning in July 2013, inspection reports for wading pools and splash pads will be available online.
Proof of Public Health Inspection Signs
Following a recreational water facility compliance inspection by Public Health Inspectors, a Proof of Public Health Inspection sign will be posted in facilities. A summary of the inspection report will be made available through the YorkSafe website.
All recreational water facility establishment owners and operators are encouraged to post their Proof of Public Health Inspection sign in their front window or door for all customers to see.
