Workplace Wellness:

A Healthy Workplace is a Great Investment

The York Region Workplace Wellness Program was developed to ensure York Region businesses are easily able to access a variety of public health programs and services.

Did you know over 15 million Canadians spend approximately half of their waking hours at work? (Health Canada 2001) Research shows that employees in safer, healthier and more supportive workplaces help businesses keep a competitive edge.  Promoting health in the workplace can be simple and inexpensive.

By initiating or enhancing a wellness program in your workplace, you are taking care of your most important resource – you and your employees. A Comprehensive Workplace Wellness Program focuses on you being able to decide what is right for your workplace. York Region Public Health offers many resources to help you put together a personalized comprehensive program for your company.
