Who we are

EllisDon Corporation (EllisDon) is an internationally recognized, Canadian-based construction company whose services include construction management, project management, design-build and general contracting. Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2001, the company completed nearly $1 billion in new construction. It is this considerable construction experience and expertise that will be used to build the infrastructure required to implement York Region's rapid transit plan.

Projects successfully undertaken by EllisDon include transportation facilities, airports, office buildings, hospitals and institutional projects, retail and industrial facilities and civil works. Examples of EllisDon's success in the transportation sector include:

What we've done

Toronto Transit Commission Sheppard Subway:

Construction Cost:	$53 million
Project Description:	EllisDon completed the $107 million re-construction of Yonge Station to function as the major transfer point between the Yonge and Sheppard lines. Existing underground structures were demolished and new platforms, tunnels and service areas constructed below the existing line. EllisDon also completed the new $53 million Leslie Station and the above-grade Don River Bridge.

Construction Cost:	$300 million
Project Description:	EllisDon has completed more than $300 million in renovations to Terminals 1 and 2 over the past ten years and is now carrying out a further $200 million in improvements to Terminal 3 and the surrounding infrastructure. A separate project for one of the largest parking garages in North America, valued at $220 million, will be completed in 2002 to eventually service the new Terminal 4.

Downsview Subway Station, Toronto, Ontario:

Construction Cost:	$41 million
Project Description:	The $41 million subway station and bus transfer facility is part of the Spadina subway line. The project involved construction of the underground station and four main above-ground structures.

Buckhead (MARTA) Station, Atlanta, Georgia:

Construction Cost:	$10 million
Project Description:	The above-grade transit connection linked Atlanta's financial district to outside communities. Located in the median of Georgia 400, the $10 million project featured extensive use of architectural and structural precast concrete.

Project Description:	The $6 million facility provides community bus transfer facilities in downtown Kitchener. The project included garages, ticketing offices, public areas and civil work.
