The York Region's Web site has 5 different ways to navigate:
- Top and side bar navigation: All of the information is available through the left side navigation bar, and is accessible after no more than three clicks. The top navigation represents information that does not need to be tiered (direct links).
- Department links: The individual departments have links to all of their information on their departmental pages. To access them, go to the left side bar navigation, and enter through the Departments link.
- Search function: To find information quickly, please type out the key words in the search field and hit enter, or search. The new improved search function will retrieve pages that meet your search criteria and list them for you starting with the best match.
- Site map: The site map is a list of York Region's information and services, in a no-graphic format. It is great for low - end browsers and voice recognition software.
- Maps: York Regions mapping services are gathering all the necessary data to bring you maps showing a vast array of information, from water and gas mains to roads and aerial photography. There are databases of information attached to each map, which makes it an effective means to navigate.
