Tuclor Lane Sewer Upgrade and Rehabilitation

Duration:

• January 2024 to spring 2025

Impacts:

• Access to all homes will be maintained. There will be no planned impact to water or wastewater services
• As part of the work, York Region is conducting a preconstruction survey to record the existing interior and exterior conditions of the properties and buildings near the work area
• To accommodate the upgrade and rehabilitation work, a temporary access road from Tuclor Lane will be constructed. To prepare the temporary access road, selected trees will either be pruned or removed under the direction of a certified Arborist. Tree removal will happen outside bird nesting season. When the work is completed, the area will be restored and new trees native to the area will be planted
• The work areas will be enclosed to limit access and any disturbances. Access to some of the maintained and unmaintained trails in the Rouge Valley Park will be limited
• Due to the nature of the work, there will be construction vehicles in the area, a dedicated trucking route has been identified and truck traffic will be controlled to reduce any disruption. Flag staff and a YRP paid-duty officer will be on-site as needed

• There will be a temporary eastbound lane restriction on Highway 7 between Cosburn Road and Christman Court 

• Access to the sidewalk on the south side of Highway 7 between Cosburn Road and Christman Court will be temporarily restricted 

• York Region Transit (YRT) service along Highway 7 will continue throughout the upgrade and rehabilitation work. Riders can call the YRT Contact Centre at 1-866-668-3978 or visit yrt.ca for more information 

• As with all construction projects, some work may be re-scheduled due to weather or other conditions
