Public Outreach
- We advertised with flyers, posters, ads in newspaper, street signage and online. This method of advertising allows us to reach every household in York Region.
- As part of the Open House we sold composters, reusable water bottles, had a draw for a free rain barrel and gave away free garden mulch. This attracted customers who were enticed to "check out" our Open House.
- This year our target was to have 500 residents join us at the Open House. We received an attendance of more than 650, exceeding our expectations.

- As EMS week is the same week as Public Works Week, we invited our health partners to join us. They advertised our Open House with signs at all their EMS stations across York Region.
