Public Outreach

  • Invitations to visit our facilities were sent to the upper grades of York Region elementary schools.
  • We provided six tours throughout the week on a first-come, first -served basis. In total we had a captive audience of approximately 200 students.
  • The students were from Grade five to Grade eight. We targeted these grades to complement the government component in the school curriculum. Students study the role of science, technology and conservation which we incorporated into our tours.
