School Tours

The Transportation Services and Environmental Services Departments offered each of six York Region school groups a free half-day tour of our facilities.

Kids ride a Viva bus on their way to a facility tour.

The tours included:

  • Roads and Waste Management
  • Water and Wastewater
  • Transit and Forestry

Each tour was designed to educate students about the different services York Region provides. This was done through demonstrations and "hands-on" activities in which students could take part.
