Charity

  • Every second year the committee chooses a charity to sponsor for two years.
  • For 2009 and 2010, the committee selected Blue Door Shelters, a charity that provides housing, nutrition and job-opportunity services to homeless people in our Region.
  • Donation boxes were placed at a number of our facilities across the Region for the week, and we invited staff to donate items such as clothing, bedding, books, toys, non-perishable food and toiletries.

  • Our charity drive was a great success, as we filled a van to the brim with collected items. Blue Door was very appreciative of our donations and is looking forward to another successful drive next year.
