This year’s report reflects York Region’s Vision 2026 commitment to building strong, caring, safe communities.

At the end of 2002 York Region was home to more than 830,000 residents and 25,000 businesses. Managing this unprecedented growth requires sound financial strategies, good economic development planning and a course of action to maintain the health of our communities and our residents.

Working closely with its nine municipal partners, York Region is dedicated to responding to the needs of people, who live in York Region, play in York Region and invest in York Region.

Regional Council and staff work together to build strong, caring, safe communities and make York Region a destination of choice for residents and businesses.
