Diversity and Inclusion
Bring your story into focus
York Region is hosting a series of open discussions for residents to share thoughts on building a more welcoming and inclusive York Region.
These discussions provide a chance for you to share your views, and hear the views of others, on all dimensions of diversity and inclusion in York Region such as ability, religion, orientation, culture, age and gender.
You can’t always see diversity. Your abilities, religion, orientation, culture, age and gender shape you. You are different like me and I am different like you.
Diversity and Inclusion Dialogues
From June 13 to 23, 2016 residents were invited to share their views on diversity and inclusion by attending a discussion session or completing an online feedback form. Thank you to all those who participated. Your views will help shape a York Region Diversity and Inclusion Charter which will articulate a common vision for, and commitment to, creating an inclusive community. A summary of the feedback will be available soon.
