14-01 Election of Chair
It was moved by Regional Chair Fisch, seconded by Regional Councillor Taylor, that Regional Councillor Heath be Chair of the Board of Directors of Housing York Inc. for 2014.
There being no further nominations, it was moved by Regional Chair Fisch, seconded by Regional Councillor Taylor that nominations be closed and the acclamation of Regional Councillor Heath as Chair of the Board of Directors of Housing York Inc. for 2014 be confirmed, which was Carried.
14-02 Election of Vice Chair
It was moved by Regional Chair Fisch, seconded by Regional Councillor Taylor, that Regional Councillor Rosati be Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Housing York Inc. for 2014.
There being no further nominations, it was moved by Regional Chair Fisch, seconded by Regional Councillor Taylor that nominations be closed and the acclamation of Regional Councillor Rosati as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Housing York Inc. for 2014 be confirmed, which was Carried.
Regional Councillor Rosati’s appointment to the position of Vice-Chair is subject to his accepting his nomination for the position at the next meeting of the Board of Directors.
14-03 Declarations of Interest

14-04 Confirmation of Minutes
It was moved by Regional Councillor Spatafora, seconded by Regional Councillor Li that the Minutes of the Board of Directors of Housing York Inc. meeting of December 5, 2013 be confirmed, which was Carried.
14-05 Presentation
Kerry Hobbs, Manager, Housing Strategy and Program Delivery, made a presentation regarding ‘Housing York Inc. Governance Framework Update’.
It was moved by Regional Councillor Hogg, seconded by Regional Councillor Li that the presentation be received, which was Carried.
14-06 Transfer of Affordable Housing Units through Section 37 Agreements in the Town of Richmond Hill
A memorandum from the Commissioner of Community and Health Services dated May 1, 2014 was presented.
It was moved by Regional Councillor Spatafora, seconded by Regional Councillor Taylor that the memorandum be received, which was Carried.
14-07 Approach to Implementing a Reserved Parking Space Policy
A report of the General Manager dated April 16, 2014 was presented recommending that:
1. The Board of Directors authorize the implementation of a reserved parking space policy for tenants who live in Housing York Inc. properties that do not currently offer this service.
2. The Board of Directors delegate authority to the General Manager, Housing York Inc., to adjust tenant parking charges from time to time based on local market conditions.
It was moved by Regional Chair Fisch, seconded by Regional Councillor Hogg that the foregoing report be adopted, which was Carried.
14-08 Other Business
The General Manager advised that that Doug Manson, Director, Housing Operations, Community and Health Services Department, is retiring.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, Regional Councillor Heath praised Mr. Manson for his excellent work with Housing York Inc. and wished him all the best in his retirement.
There being no further business, the Board adjourned at 2:20 p.m.
