Future Developments
62 Bayview Parkway Redevelopment in the Town Newmarket
York Region is planning to redevelop 62 Bayview Parkway in the Town of Newmarket. The future development helps address the significant need for affordable housing, and ensures the site continues to support community well-being while maintaining a strong public legacy. Planning applications are underway for this development.

Box Grove Community Housing Development in the City of Markham
York Region is planning to develop new community housing on Regionally-owned land located at the corner of 14th Avenue and Donald Cousens Parkway in the Box Grove community. York Region is beginning the planning process and community engagement early on to ensure the site is development ready in the future. Construction will not begin until all approvals from the City of Markham are obtained.

Future Market and Affordable Rental Apartments in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville
Construction is underway for a new six-storey building with 97 residential units and ground floor non-residential space at 5676 Main Street in the community of Stouffville.

Recently Completed Projects
2023 - Unionville Commons in the City of Markham
In partnership with Martinway Development Ltd., York Region constructed new affordable housing for seniors at 4310 Highway 7 East in the City of Markham.
Unionville Commons has two towers – one with eight-storeys and one with 12-storeys – with 265 apartments for seniors, as well as a ground floor seniors hub and community centre planned to open in 2025, offering seniors-focused services to the community.
2022/2023 - The Bridge, Town of Georgina and Passage House, Town of East Gwillimbury
The Bridge is an eight-unit transitional housing development on the Sutton Youth Services site at 20898 Dalton Road in Georgina. Passage House is an 18-unit transitional housing building co-located with Leeder Place and Porter Place on The Landing campus at 18838 Highway 11 in East Gwillimbury.

Woodbridge Lane is a mixed-income 162-unit apartment building, located at 275 Woodbridge Avenue in the City of Vaughan, that offers affordable housing for families, individuals and seniors.
