Economic Development Action Plan
York Region’s Economic Development Action Plan 2024 to 2027 sets out a strategic course of action for the economic growth and prosperity of York Region.
The 2024 to 2027 Economic Development Action Plan contains 20 specific actions in the following four pillars:
- Business: Strengthen York Region’s business community by delivering business support services, promoting growth, investment and job creation
- Innovation: Foster an environment supporting entrepreneurship and innovation to drive economic advancement
- Talent: Facilitate growth of a skilled workforce meeting evolving needs of businesses
- Marketing and Awareness: Promote York Region as a top location for business, innovation and talent locally and internationally
An annual report on the progress made toward achieving results will be presented to Committee and Council in the spring of each year. The Action Plan has been circulated to area municipalities and various stakeholders.
