Regional Council held a special meeting at 10:45 a.m. in the Council Chambers, York Region Administrative Centre, 17250 Yonge Street, Newmarket, with Regional Chair Emmerson presiding.

60 Consideration of Appointment of Commissioner of Finance and Regional Treasurer
It was moved by Regional Councillor Davison, seconded by Regional Councillor Ferri that Council convene in Private Session for the purpose of considering the following:
1. Appointment of Commissioner of Finance and Regional Treasurer – Personal Matter about an Identifiable Individual
Carried
Council met in Private session at 10:45 a.m. and reconvened in public at 10:50 a.m.
It was moved by Regional Councillor Spatafora, seconded by Regional Councillor Ferri that Council rise and report from Private Session.

61 Appointment of Commissioner of Finance and Regional Treasurer

It was moved by Mayor Barrow, seconded by Mayor Van Bynen that Council enact Bylaw No. 2018-24 to appoint Laura Mirabella as Commissioner of Finance and Treasurer, effective June 20, 2018.

It was moved by Mayor Dawe, seconded by Regional Councillor Armstrong that Council enact Bylaw No. 2018-23 to confirm the proceedings of this special meeting of Council held on April 12, 2018.
The Council meeting adjourned at 10:51 a.m.
