Bloomington Road to Henderson Drive in the Township of King and Town of Aurora
The Regional Municipality of York maintains the condition of Regional roads for motorists, cyclists, pedestrians and transit users. York Region is making improvements to Bathurst Street, from Bloomington Road to Henderson Drive the Township of King and Town of Aurora.
Construction is anticipated to start in August and is expected to be completed by the end of this year. This work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or delays related to COVID-19 and Public Health guidelines. York Region will provide advance notice whenever possible.
Road improvements include:
- Removing of the top asphalt
- Laying of new asphalt
- Installing of pedestrian Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act features including push buttons, curb depressions and tactile (textured) walkways at signalized intersections
Bathurst Street will remain open to traffic throughout construction and access to residences and businesses will be maintained. However, to accommodate construction, lane reductions may be required on weekdays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Safety is our number one priority, please slow down through construction areas.
