Construction at the Mount Albert Water Facility
The Regional Municipality of York will be working in the Mount Albert community, upgrading the Mount Albert Water Resource Recovery Facility by installing a new odour control unit, a heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) system, replacing the roof and completing other minor work. The upgrade work will extend the life of the facility.
When: December 2021 to Fall/Winter 2022
What Can You Expect?
- Construction will be limited to the facility, however, there may be increased construction-related traffic in and out of the site
- Due to the nature of the work, there will be some construction-related noise and dust from the equipment and trucks, though every effort to minimize this will be made
- Access to all homes and buildings will be maintained
- There is no impact to your water and wastewater services

As with all construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other conditions. Thank you for your patience while we complete this vital work. Visit york.ca/waterconstruction for more information about water and wastewater construction projects.
