Transportation improvements prepare York Region to meet the needs of motorists, cyclists, pedestrians and transit users today and into the future. York Region is making culvert improvements on Lloydtown-Aurora Road, west of Keele Street.
Description:
Road improvements
York Region is replacing a culvert to maintain the condition of the road for all travellers.
The project will take several months to complete, during which time there will be ongoing lane restrictions. There will also be a single night road closure to expedite the culvert work.
Duration:
July 2022 until fall 2022
Impacts to travellers:
Working hours
- Weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Lane restrictions
- The road will remain open to through traffic; however, lane reductions to a single shared lane is required for the duration of the project. Temporary traffic signals will be installed
- Access to homes and businesses will be maintained
Closure date and time:
- Friday, July 15, 2022, 7 p.m. to Saturday, July 16, 5:30 a.m.
During the road closure, local access to properties on Lloydtown-Aurora Road between Jane Street and Keele Street will be maintained. Please plan ahead.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained.
As with all road construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather. York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
