The Inclusion Charter for York Region is a community initiative that brings together local municipalities, police services, hospitals, school boards, conservation authorities and community agencies and partners with a common commitment to create an inclusive environment with equality for all who work, live and play here.
Organizations that have endorsed the Inclusion Charter share the vision of York Region as a welcoming and inclusive community where diversity is celebrated and where everyone can develop to their full potential, participate freely in society and live with respect, dignity and freedom from discrimination.
CFUW is a non-partisan, voluntary, self-funded organization that has been working to improve the status of women and to promote human rights, public education, social justice and peace for over 100 years.
Established in 1984, CFUW Markham-Unionville, one of over 100 CFUW clubs located across Canada, has evolved to become a thriving organization offering over 100 women the opportunity to meet and socialize with others while working together toward achieving CFUW goals.
