Capacity limits and proof of vaccination lifting on March 1
Effective March 1, 2022, the province is removing capacity limits in all remaining indoor public settings and lifting proof of vaccination requirements for all settings. Businesses and any other settings may continue to require proof of vaccination.
Masking in indoor public settings, including schools, will remain in effect until further notice.
In alignment with the provincial reopening, the Regional Municipality of York’s Letter of Instruction for Owners/Operators of Sports Facilities, last updated November 12, 2021, is revoked, effective March 1, 2022, at 12:01 a.m. Proof of vaccinations for players, coaches, volunteers and spectators 12 years of age and older will no longer be required to enter indoor facilities where organized sports are played or practiced. Owners/Operators of sports facilities must continue to comply with the Reopening Ontario Act, 2020 and its regulations applicable to these facilities.
