Celebrating the important role of Early Childhood Educators

Early learning and child care professionals play an integral role in supporting early learning and heathy development of children. They are also the heart of our communities by providing quality care for families in licensed centre and home-based child care settings, as well as EarlyON Child and Family Programs.

Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) are committed to nurturing the emotional, social and cognitive skills children need to become lifelong learners while supporting the well-being of families each and every day. Their important work inspires young minds and builds strong communities for our future.

This winter, York Region launched a multi-platform marketing campaign to promote the funding and supports available for ECEs through the Child Care and Early Years Workforce Funding strategy.
