Newmarket East Elevated Tank - Notice of Construction

The Regional Municipality of York is upgrading the East Elevated Tank located at 221 Harry Walker Parkway South in the Town of Newmarket. The upgrade will extend the life of the elevated tank and ensure a continued supply of safe, quality drinking water to the community.

Duration: May 2023 to February 2024

Impact:

• Construction will be limited to the Elevated Tank site but there may be increased construction-related traffic in and out of the site
• Due to the nature of the work, there will be some construction-related noise from equipment and trucks and every effort to minimize this will be made
• There are no planned impacts to your water and wastewater services
• As with all construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other conditions
