Paramedic Station Opening

York Region celebrated the opening of Paramedic Response Station #27 on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 in the City of Markham. The new station, located at 180 Cachet Woods Court can accommodate up to six ambulances operating 24 hours per day.

This new station will support York Region Paramedic Services to continue delivering life-saving services in our communities and help York Region achieve its commitment to strong, caring and safe communities.

As part of the York Region Paramedic Services Master Plan (2021-2031), new stations, like this one, are strategically built in areas with a growth in population and help York Region Paramedic Services continue to meet the needs of residents.

With the opening this station, there are 27 paramedic response stations across York Region. Four additional stations are planned to be built between 2023 to 2026 and two existing stations will be replaced with new, larger stations to address and expand service capacity.

By 2026, there will be a total of 32 paramedic stations, including the headquarters building located at 80 Bales Drive East in Town of East Gwillimbury.
