Sherwood Forest Pumping Station Upgrades - Construction Update

The Regional Municipality of York is making improvements at the Sherwood Forest Pumping Station and Holland Landing Elevated Tank located at 2 Pear Blossom Way, in the Town of East Gwillimbury. The work will extend the life of the pumping station and elevated tank, and support the continued supply of safe, quality drinking water to your community.

Electrical Work at the Sherwood Forest Pumping Station - March 27 to March 30, 2023

Electrical upgrade work at the Sherwood Forest Pumping Station is scheduled to happen between March 27 and March 30, 2023. The electrical work will not interrupt your water services to your residence; however, you may experience air bubbles or sputters when you turn on the water taps. If you do, please run the water for a few minutes to clear any air bubbles. 

Due to the nature of the work, there may be some construction-related noise from the equipment and trucks on-site; every effort to minimize this will be made. As with all construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other conditions.
