York Region's 2022 Accessibility Status Report is here
York Region and York Regional Police are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive community that recognizes and celebrates all dimensions of diversity and allows people of all abilities to access the same programs, services and facilities.
The 2022 Accessibility Status Report provides an update on the actions taken by York Region and York Regional Police to improve accessibility and implement the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA).
This year’s Status Report provides a snapshot of:
- Contributions made by the York Region’s Accessibility Advisory Committee (YRAAC) to several Regional programs, services and facilities; and
- Updates on York Region and York Regional Police activities that contribute towards creating accessible communities
What’s next?
York Region and York Regional Police will continue to implement AODA requirements and the actions outlined in the 2020-2023 York Region Multi-Year Accessibility Plan. York Region provides progress reports on implementing the actions of the Accessibility Plan on an annual basis.
