The Regional Municipality of York will be working in your community, improving the Sutton Water Resource Recovery Facility, located at 5741 Black River Road, in the community of Sutton. From August 2020 to winter 2022, our crews will be building a new tank, constructing an extension to the sanitary forcemain and upgrading equipment.
What can you expect?
- Black River Road will remain open to traffic, however there will be periodic lane restrictions
- There will be increased construction-related traffic along Black River Road and some construction-related noise, though every effort to minimize traffic and noise will be made
- Access to all homes will be maintained and there will be no impact to your water or wastewater services
- As with all construction projects, some work may be re-scheduled due to weather or other conditions
Thank you for your patience while we complete this vital work. Visit york.ca/waterconstruction for more information about water and wastewater construction projects.
