Aurora Yonge Street Feedermain - Notice of Water Service Interruption, 2 Allaura Boulevard

The Regional Municipality of York is rehabilitating and replacing sections of an aging water feedermain along Yonge Street, in the Town of Aurora.

Sections of the feedermain have been replaced and new connections installed. As part of the commissioning of the feederman we need to temporarily turn off water service to the business located at 2 Allaura Boulevard, Aurora.

When: Thursday, June 15, 2023, between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m.

Where: McDonald's, 2 Allaura Boulevard, Aurora

Impact:

• Before the water is turned off, the business should plan to have water available to use overnight; we suggest filling large bottles and containers with drinking water and filling sinks and tubs for other water uses; when the water service is restored, please open your cold water taps for a few minutes to clear any air bubbles
• During the water service interruption, the water supply to your business sprinkler systems will be impacted
• To avoid any impact to your business water system during the water service interruption, do not turn on the hot water tap
• The work on the watermain has been planned to be as brief as possible; however, if the water service shut off will be longer than the times noted, York Region staff will contact your business. We will work to restore water service as soon as possible
• Due to the nature of the work, there will be some construction-related noise and dust from the equipment and trucks, every effort to minimize this will be made

We understand work on the feedermain can be disruptive; thank you for your patience. As with all construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other conditions.
